Sonia Gandhi hospitalised is stable after Asthma Attack

Congress president Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital here late on Monday after she complained of a breathing problem.She was suffering from Cold and fever for last couple of days.
A bulletin issued by Sir Ganga Ram hospital authorities on Tuesday said Ms. Gandhi was responding to treatment and showing signs of steady improvement.
“Her condition is stable and she had normal meals and rest,” it added.
In an earlier statement, the hospital said, “Ms. Gandhi was having cough and mild breathing difficulty when she was admitted to the hospital. She was diagnosed with chest infection and was started on treatment for the same immediately.”
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday spoke to Ms. Gandhi over the phone and enquired about her health and wished her speedy recovery, besides extending New Year greetings.
Ms. Gandhi is expected to be discharged from hospital on Wednesday.
