ASUS is bringing out its new line of laptops that will reduce the boot time. ASUS says that the notebook will take just eight seconds after you hit the power on buttong to get you to the internet screen.

ASUS is able to do it using Express Gate. Express Gate is a scaled down secondary operating system. It disables almost everything that are non essential and get you going pretty quick.



The Express Gate Operating System lets you get at the Internet. It lets you access music and photos without accessing the files and setup in the normal Windows operating system.

Normal Windows Operating System will take at least a minute to boot and get to the google page.
