Intel introduces quad core mobile CPU

The Number one CPU COmpany Intel plans to launch its first quad-core CPU for notebooks, the Core 2 Extreme QX9300, in third quarter of 2008. The chip is supposed to be priced at $1,038 in 1,000 unit quantity.



Besed on 45nm process, the Core 2 Extreme QX9300 uses a 45nm will be clocked at 2.53GHz and support FSB speeds up to 1066MHz. The chip will have 12MB of L2 cache and a maximum thermal design power of 45W.
