Netscape Navigator to be Discontinued from 1 Mar 2008

Begining 1 Mar 2008, Netscape Navigator, now owned by AOL, will no longer be supported.

Netscape had a market share of 90% in its peak tim in mid 90s. However, with the growth of Microsoft and Firefox, the market share of Netscape slipped to 0.6%.

Netscape recommends its users to upgrade to Firefox or Flock.

Netscape was invented by Marc Andreessen. His company first released Netscape communications in 1994.
