Cuda 1970 ( Plymouth Barracuda)

During the years from 1964 to 1974 – for a full one decade the American automobile manufacturer Chrysler Corporation produced its mych hyped ( at that time) Plymouth Barracuda – a two door coup.

The early trends of the 1960s was that of cars with more and more power and the designer started bringing up cars that looked small, sporty. The Plymouth Barracuda symbolized the American dream of 1960s.

The year 170 was especially important for Cuda, as, in that year Chrysler launched its all new model.

As Barracuda was too long and difficult to pronounce, people started using cuda as the more popular way of meaning Chrysler Barracuda. Originally the executives in the Chrysler wanted to name this car Panda, which they believe was easier to pronounce, catchy and more customer friendly. The designers of the car instead wanted to name it  Barracuda and in the end the car was Christened as Barracuda. While newer generation may not be very well aware of the the Cuda 1970 model, the baby boomer still have the craze of this car.

After 6 years of production from 1964 to 1969, Cuda started producing all new model of Cuda 1970, which then became very popular among Americans. Originally launched as A-Body, Cuda started catching up in the automobile industry. Compared to the previous year models, Cuda 1970 was designed with smaller body and had faster version of the car. It has more power.

By 1975 the production of the Cuda was stopped. Older models of the Cuda is still available of ebay.
